Safe searching habits
| Habit | Why |
|---|---|
| Check the web address: spelling and https | A fake page often has a small spelling change |
| Go to the maker's own site for downloads | A copy elsewhere may hold malware |
| Do not type passwords on a page you reached from an advert | It may be phishing |
| Never put company or customer data into an unknown tool | You may not get it back |
| Keep the browser and the device up to date | Updates fix weaknesses |
| Use the approved browser and Wi-Fi at work | It has protections turned on |
