AC 2.8: Reading and completing data flow diagrams

This is the first page of the lesson. Read it and have a go at the activities. The rest is in the full lesson.

60 minutes

Spot what is missing

A drawing shows a till sending sales straight into a report. No step checks the sales. No place keeps them.

A good analyst can read a diagram, say what it means and say what is wrong with it. They can also draw a new one.

Note

I can read a DFD and say what it shows, spot mistakes in one, and draw or complete one for a system.
